Fetching transactions and classifying them with AI. This may take a minute or two on first connect...
Tainath works best when you share finances with a partner. Enter their email below and we'll send them an invite to join your household.
Privacy is set per bank account after connecting. You can mark any account as private — only shared-category spending will be visible to your partner.
Choose how each account is shared with your partner.
Shared (Joint Account) — both partners can see all transactions. Spending from this account does not affect your "Who Owes Who" tally, since joint funds are already communal.
Private (Personal Account) — transactions are hidden by default. You can share individual expenses to split them with your partner — these do affect the tally.
Set the default split for shared expenses. You can change this anytime, and override individual transactions.
Your tally tracks expenses shared from personal accounts — when you pay for something from your own money and split it with your partner. Joint account spending doesn't affect the tally since those funds are already shared.
Transactions before the start date will still be visible but won't affect your balance.
Tainath uses AI (Google Gemini) to categorise your transactions. This means your transaction descriptions are sent to Google's servers for processing.
You can revoke this consent at any time from Account Settings. Without consent, AI features (auto-categorisation, semantic rules) will be unavailable.
